FM Inquiry

Is there ANY frequency on the commercial FM Band that would likely sell ....

The old expression, If you need to ask how much, you can't afford it.... * just curious *

I would be shocked if Mr. Childs ever let go of 104.5.

He's 84. He'll let go of them one way or another in the next 20 years.

There was a rumor he was going to retire about three years ago, but he doesn't show any sign of actually slowing down.

Every station is available for the right price. Certain stations have potentially more value to a buyer for their brand names which could lead to a deal between a company in financial distress and a buyer with a seemingly unlimited budget to keep growing thanks to their very large donor base and trying to prevent an upstart competitor from beating them into getting a Cedar Hill based signal. Based on what I've been hearing a sale of this type could be made in the coming weeks.

Well, that is quite a teaser. Wonder who the “upstart competitor“ might be…Hope Media Group? They probably want to get their Spanish language Vida Unida format on the air in DFW…or place VU on their 89.7 rimshot while moving WAY-FM to a Cedar Hill stick.

K-Love is kept out of the market because of KLUV. Could EMF move Air1 to a Cedar Hill stick and spin off the 101.7 signal to someone else?

Any other religious operators come to mind? Keep in mind that locally owned non-comm KCBI 90.9 has a very good Cedar Hill signal. Would they ever sell?
