HD Update

I noticed that 90.9 KCBI flipped on HD sometime within the past few days. This is the first I’ve seen it on this station. This leaves 90.1 KERA and 104.5 KKDA as the only DFW full coverage FM’s that aren’t in HD.

HDRadio.com seems to indicate that 89.3 and 90.1 had HD at one point, but I’ve never seen it on either station, since I moved here at the end of 2017.

meanwhile, KEGL did relaunch the 97.1 HD2 station as the new home of 97.1 The Eagle now that The Freak took over the main HD1/FM 97.1 station, also that's called a format demotion to the HD Radio subchannel.

Whoops, I guess I was in the middle of too many things earlier and I accidentally sent a reply with no additional comments.

@Ryan Williams - You’re right. No subchannels yet. No PAD info, station logo or cover art services either.

@Will_H_69_9 - You’re right, as well. I think 97.1’s HD2 may have been mentioned in the big thread about the format change, but yeah, that’s a recent change. Although, it’s a format demotion, I’m happy they did that instead of completely killing off The Eagle. The only thing I wish iHeart would do is upload the old station logos instead of having a generic iHeart logo. It would be cool to have the old Eagle logo on the HD2 and the old Edge logo on 102.1 HD2. When Mix 102.9 was on 102.9 HD2, they uploaded the old logo for that.

"iHeart" need to crank up all of their HD2 channels again. We need as much variety as we can get in this market.
