Shameless self-promotion - but you might enjoy it.

I think most of the people on this board know this, but 10 years ago I moved from the Bay Area to be the engineer at KVMR radio in the foothills. I did that because I finally found a radio station that fit my style. In case anyone's interested, this weekend we're broadcasting live from the Hangtown Music Festival in Grass Valley, CA. Great mix of progressive bluegrass, country, funk, a bit of EDM, and some straight-ahead rock-&-roll. We're happy to bring it to the world live, and I'd appreciate any feedback you might have.

Unfortunately, I’ll be working the entire festival weekend, so can’t make it up yonder to Grass Valley.

However, love KVMR and hope one day soon you guys can get a signal up here in Amador/Northern Calabama Co. that doesn’t have to be picked up in the car!

(BTW, random aside, KJCN has been broadcasting dead air for their entire share time for the past 3 weeks)

Getting slightly noisy stereo in eastern Alameda Cty, using a Scott 312C tuner and rooftop ant. KVMR is a nice alternative, especially weekends.

KJCN FM does not have a web site nor does the licensee name. A search of California Secretary of States shows this.

On occasion, KVMR comes in with a decent signal here in San Mateo. It really plays hell with my DXing though. I almost always pause and listen for quite a while to either KVMR or KRSH/95.9. Keep that station running. Its a gem!
