Hallmark content to appear on NBC's Peacock app

JFC is there no place that is safe from that sappy drivel they produce?
Hoards of happy wives everywhere are exclaiming "Oh honey, look! Now I can watch the 100 days of Christmas offerings everywhere we go! I can watch them here at home with my popcorn, bon bons, glass of wine and box of tissues as usual, but also, I can now stream them when in the car, at the mall, and while I'm sitting there waiting for you to finish with your "guy stuff"! BTW, why can't our relationship be more like the ones they show in these movies, huh??"

Peacock needed the Hallmark Channel much more than the Hallmark Channel needed Peacock.

I recently read an article reporting that Peacock has 15 million subscribers. That may seem like a lot, but that's many millions fewer subscribers than any of the other leading streaming services.

This deal will greatly benefit Peacock, especially this time of year with the Hallmark Channel's annual "Countdown To Christmas", which results in the network running nothing but Christmas romance movies 24/7 from October 21st through mid-January.

This year, the Hallmark Channel will carry 40 brand-new Christmas romance movies, along with rebroadcasts of prior Hallmark Christmas movies.

While most of the huge library of Hallmark Christmas movies will be available on Peacock, I suspect that those Hallmark Christmas movies starring Lori Loughlin probably won't be included in the on-demand Hallmark titles available on Peacock. Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Gianuelli, were charged and pleaded guilty in the college admissions scandal, with both serving brief prison terms.

The Hallmark Channel will be available on Peacock starting tomorrow (November 2nd). And look for millions of wives, especially those in unhappy marriages, to sign-up for Peacock. 😉

Mikey Radio:

You hit the nail on the head as regards the demographics of Hallmark Channel (and Lifetime) Christmas romance movie viewers.

Confession: I plan to watch one made-for-TV Christmas romance movie this year: "A Show-Stopping Christmas", scheduled to be shown by Lifetime on Sunday night, November 20th. The reason is that much of "Show-Stopping Christmas" was filmed in my hometown of Norwood, Massachusetts during the early Spring of 2021 and I'll watch more to spot local landmarks than the obviously sappy plot of what will probably a Grade-Z movie.

Had "Show-Stopping Christmas" not been filmed in my hometown, I wouldn't be caught dead watching it! 😉

Seriously peacock should just fold into another streaming service. Girls5eva has already been snatched by netflix. They could either combine with paramount (which has been rumored) or fold and sell their stuff to netflix or something.
