"The Call In" phrases are likely KQED 9 membership breaks meaning another pledge night for KQED in 1973. 1973 was the year where the Watergate Hearings took place for many PBS stations and they conducted pledge nights for saving the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, even my local PBS station: KPBS San Diego even conducted pledge nights during the Watergate Hearings!!

I'm looking for New York City TV Schedules from any Thanksgiving day or weekend as well.
I happen to be planning that for the 1983 Thanksgiving Week after I complete this one. That week featured some very significant TV moments, including "The Day After", the "Kennedy" miniseries, and Sesame Street's "Farewell Mr. Hooper" episode from Thanksgiving. Like they say, stay tuned!

Didn't ABC have their day after Thanksgiving block of Saturday morning shows? That was a tradition for them.

Didn't ABC have their day after Thanksgiving block of Saturday morning shows? That was a tradition for them.
Not always, i remember in 1995 they showed a college football game, North Carolina @ NC State instead. They also showed Boston College @ Rutgers too so it was regional coverage of college football.

Yeah, I think ABC stopped showing their kids shows the day after Thanksgiving in the late 70s, I think.

Didn't ABC have their day after Thanksgiving block of Saturday morning shows? That was a tradition for them.
Not during that year. Besides they had their Saturday morning fare on that day, with a couple of NCAA football game in between.

Addendum regarding CBS's All-American Thanksgiving Day Parade correspondents

Joining William Conrad was 1973 Miss Teenage America Melissa Galbraith (of Pennsylvania) whose reign ended the following Saturday (see ch. 5 at 10:00 PM).

The correspondents at each of the parades were as follows:

New York (Macy's) - Bob Barker and Lee Meriwether
Philadelphia (Gimbels) - Ed Asner and Gail Fisher
Detroit (Hudson's) - June Lockhart and Jack Whitaker
Toronto (Eaton's) - Dick Clark and Lucie Arnaz
