Absolutely not. Why? To get listeners, some of whom will donate.
What channel were the ads on?
MeTV, insp, fox, travel, science, and youtube, most are cable only not OTA but still....
K Love must be doing a fundraiser.
In the NYC market, the ads for K-Love are fairly frequent. I see it during Jeopardy on WABC-TV. It is likely the same ad as the one running in Philadelphia.
A woman in her bathroom swinging her arm like she's playing a guitar. An African-American family in a circle in their living room dancing. A young man in a warehouse store spinning around and then a young man in a wheelchair doing the same. It ends with two teens forming a heart with their hands.
You'd never know it was a Christian AC station, other than the words on the screen "Find love and inspiration." I guess a secular AC station wouldn't use that slogan.
