Wow. It's hard to find Summit Media stations. Only 1 in the top ten! As I predicted, The Rose beat WVEZ, but with the mistake of going all Christmas, the lead won't last.

WNRW has no local personalities and has good ratings. iHeart has 3 stations with no local personalities and if you add WAMZ the total comes to 1 local personality. Union Broadcasting, however, is making WKRD look minor league.

The biggest story, IMO, is WLOU. Congrats!

Wow! Louisville is telling Summit Media they have wore out their welcome. Summit is doing so horrible, they need to pack up and leave. Sell the stations to someone who might be able to get a listener.

In Louisville, iHeart takes nearly 48% of all commercial radio revenue. Summit is second with just over 20% and then New Alpha takes 19%. So, actually, Summit does well considering what they have, with just under $8 million in cluster revenue last year.

Nice spin. SFR could be as high as 2nd in the market, VEZ was usually 3rd, QNU was closer to AMZ in that battle. Take a second look where everything is now. Can't imagine what a revenue drop that would be. If Summit was delivering superior content, Iheart would probably not be at 48%. Kudos to the sales team on 8 Million.

Why isnt there a UK station in Lexington? I agree that the sports talk on 1080 should move to 790 but not a full time UK sports format on 790.
Move all UK shows from 1080, 8a-12p, simulcast Alan Cutler show from Lexington 12p-2, then get a drive time show and this will become to top rated sports station in town

One of the iHeart stations could add an HD-3 (preferably on 98.1 with the power) and make it an HD only feed station and all UK sports format. But I've been trying to get iHeart to put WLAP on HD3.

I did hear KSR will have a 24-7 streaming on iheart.

Cutler works for LM now, so he would never be on iHeart unless they bought the show.
