VSiN distribution deal with Gow Media

“David Gow has created a powerhouse in the U.S. radio industry, and we couldn’t be more excited to be his choice to deliver real-time sports betting news, analysis, and insights to the growing SportsMap radio audience,” VSiN Founder/CEO Brian Musburger remarked.

What is the powerhouse, 97.5 or 92.5? What other affiliates are there for this ‘network’? I don’t tv think I’d be counting on Gow’s ‘network’ to deliver much.

Say what you want about his local stations, but his network is nothing to scoff at. Now that sports gambling is legal in several states, this is the right move.

What are the chances it will ever be legal in Texas? Is it legal in any of the states that border Texas yet?

It's legal in Louisiana both online and at a few casinos. As far as Texas, gambling is only illegal because certain interest groups in Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Louisiana want it to stay that way.

But with the floodgates now open for online gambling and major leagues partnering with gambling entities, it is only a matter of time before the wave shifts. Anyone involved with sports benefits from legalized gambling. It will all come down to who throws more money at our politicians.

Here’s a list of SportsMap Radio affiliates, all eleven of them.
Four are small 1000 watt AM stations (KLAV, KREW, WLBK, and WXVW).
One is a tiny 250 watt station (WCAR), named for the Motor City.
That leaves seven stations that actually cover decent territory, but two of those cover Dallas metro.
Not exactly a nationwide "powerhouse" network, but perhaps an OK addition for VSIN and Draft Kings.
  • KLAV/1230 (Las Vegas)
  • KREW/1400 (Plainview)
  • KRLV/920 (Las Vegas)
  • KTCK/1310 (Dallas/Fort Worth)
  • KTCK-FM/96.7 (Dallas/Fort Worth)
  • KZOT/1180 (Bellevue/Omaha)
  • WCAR/1090 (Detroit)
  • WLBK/1360 (DeKalb)
  • WXVW/1450 (Jeffersonville, Louisville)
  • WXYT-FM/97.1 (Detroit)
  • XEPRS/1090 (San Diego/Tijuana)

No The Ticket--KTCK AM/FM is not an affiliate of Sports Map. KEGL-FM is the Sports Map affiliate in Dallas/FT. Worth
