KMKY 1310 to diplex with KSFN 1510

1310 KMKY has applied to move from their present 3 tower in-line array near the Oakland Bay Bridge to the 1510 KSFN rooftop site, they will increase day power to 8 kw and night power will remain at 5 kw with a DA-2 operation.
The new directional patterns day & night will be modified from the present operation.
KMKY will operate using all 4 towers of the KSFN array.

I assume they'll dismantle the existing KMKY towers. How will the move change the KMKY pattern(s)?

Why is 1310 moving their tower site? Hard to believe it's to sell the land underneath for development. It's at the edge of the Bay on wetlands that are either protected, or would take years to get through environmental hoops. Plus, the new site is about a mile Inland from the water, so it will have less ground conductivity.

I suspect they don't even own the land and it's just leased. I would guess by being colocated/diplexed will cut down on engineering costs as well. Perhaps there was also a lot of maintenance needed at the existing location, could be lots of reasons.
From this Google Streetview, doesn't look like it's very easy to get to anymore:
So maybe it's actually a "facility upgrade" :)

1310 KMKY is adjacent to the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge toll plaza. It’s surrounded by the bay.
1310 was originally 1 Kw Non-D. When they went to 5 Kw-DA around 1960 they purchased the two end towers from KSRO, who was relocating their transmitter closer to town.

Back in the early 1970s I heard a story from a local ham that one day he was driving past and saw the new towers were up but not yet connected. He contacted KDIA CE John Rolih and asked if he could load his ham rig into one of them. John thought that was a great idea and joined him, each working Japan and Asia "mobile" from the new towers.

During WWII a training flight clipped one of those KSRO towers while taking off from the nearby Santa Rosa Air Center. The plane lost about 6 ft from one wing and landed safely. The tower remained standing with a bend near the top and wound up in a Stainless Tower Company ad.
