Note this is referring to a translator on 89.3 FM. The main WHYY Signal is on 90.9 FM.
No it's not... Perhaps before posting every news story you see from sites other than ones that actually fact-check, make sure you comprehend what you're posting.Note this is referring to a translator on 89.3 FM. The main WHYY Signal is on 90.9 FM.
Bridge of Hope is buying it. Owns Christian AC "The Bridge" on 89.7 WKNZ Harrington DE, 92.5 WNKZ Pocomoke City MD, and 105.5 WNJH Cape May Court House. Can't read the entire article, but 89.3 is a 2500 watt station, WNJB. WHYY on 90.9 does reach there, albeit with some static.
Also nearby but static-y are WNJS Berlin and WNJN Atlantic City.
Any insight on who they sold to?
Also is this a sign of some cost cutting etc. for WHYY? With Marty Moss-Coane's (very deserved) retirement with no new show ready to go to replace it, and now a sale of one of their signals?
Idk if the attitude was all that necessary tbhbefore posting every news story you see from sites other than ones that actually fact-check, make sure you comprehend what you're posting.
There are plenty of NJ focused radio stations but they’re East of the Pines and along the coastline south of NYC. Anything west of the pine barons or north of New Brunswick will likely be city focused.Does anyone know if there is a difference in programming between the main signal on 90.9 and 88.1 (WNJS - Berlin)? I mean, if there is so much overlap between both signals, does it make any difference? Personally, I'd like to see more NJ-centric programming in the radio space, but that's just me.
Nope. All of the WHYY signals have been a straight simulcast of WHYY since WHYY purchased them.Does anyone know if there is a difference in programming between the main signal on 90.9 and 88.1 (WNJS - Berlin)? I assume you mean NYC or Philly focused. What about NJ 101.5?There are plenty of NJ focused radio stations but they’re East of the Pines and along the coastline south of NYC. Anything west of the pine barons or north of New Brunswick will likely be city focused.
