KVST back in Huntsville

After getting the millions he did for 103.5 which is now 103.7, Ben Amoto isn't hurting for cash
KVST was on 103.5 for only its first year or two (the original AC format.) It moved to 103.7 and was there with the Country format for about a dozen years before the sale and subsequent upgrade/move to the current eastern rimshot location.

My ex boss at Liberman, Errol Coker, built 103.5.. the morning it signed on, I was driving to work in Conroe and KBPA was wiping it out...
Errol also built the current KTRH site as well as 880 in Conroe...he was a great guy...and I learned a lot from him and he did the same from me...Mary, his wife and on air mornings on 99.7, just finally retired..

Reactions: HTX
Has anybody else noticed that since the claims of interference on KVST that the 99.5 “translator” lowered power? Now if the 94.1 “translator” in Houston could also lower power to protect the 94.1 translator in Willis that would also be great.
My best guess is there appears to be some behind-the-scenes wrangling between the translator and station owners to minimize interference. The Commission certainly isn't in the enforcement business anymore. I would also wager that money has exchanged hands.
