North Austin translator changing frequency

That will be a huge loss in coverage going directional just for Georgetown. I wonder why they’re doing it also

The tech exhibit explains the move. It's a common problem in Texas and after the invasion of translators, it is more apparent. They just don't have enough humph to overcome the redirection of full class C FM signals during tropo season.

Wonder if the 94.3 in Cedar Park talked about previously on here will fight with it if they come back...

As for the directional towards Georgetown, seems they might be giving KCDR-LP some breathing room.

The Christian talk translator on 100.3 in Georgetown is switching to 94.3.
Hopefully they can co-exist with the LPFM in Austin without getting too much interference. What's wrong with 100.3 though? I know Austin has a 100.1, as well as full-power 100.3s in both SA and Houston. Maybe that's why the move.
This is a translator for KBBW 1010AM.
