Chris Daniels on KOMO

Former KING reporter Chris Daniels is tweeting that he will be starting on KOMO tonight. He left KING six months ago, went to work for Sinclair, now on KOMO. Sounds like he had to sit out a non compete.

Chris Daniels is now a Sinclair National Correspondent, based in Seattle. I've seen his bio on other Sinclair station websites (e.g. WJAR in Providence).

Sounds like the National Correspondent role was always supposed to be a part time gig when the non complete ended with KING and was always supposed to be a Senior Reporter with KOMO.

Wow, I guess I'm going to watch KOMO now because Chris Daniels is there (said NOBODY in particular). Reporters come and go and some go to the competition. Unless it's a franchise like Jesse Jones, it's not going to shift viewing patterns.

What, you're not an active member of the Chris Daniels Fan Club? ;)

Credit when credit is due, Chris is a reporter that is fairly well known in Seattle (and I think he’s great). He’s certainly a face that many viewers would recognize. Sounds like a pretty good move on the part of Sinclair to pick him up. Over at KING, there seems to be an endless rotation of reporters coming in and out. More so than any other station in the market.

And have been since before my buddy and I walked into Dorothy Bullitt’s ceremonial office in the new studios of KING in circa 1980. She kept her door open 24 hours a day. Of course the story got exaggerated through the years as in “we refiled through her files”, which of course we did not. I believe this happened after a couple drinks down the street at “The Dog House”. Both KING’s studio and the The Dog House have been demolished to be replaced by more condos and apartments, because Seattle is addicted to that kind of thing.
