Summit staffer in Honolulu filled in diaries...

Normally, Nielsen would de-list the offending person's station affiliations, but because Summit responded quickly and decisively, they won't be de-listed this time. But they will if it happens again.

"Nielsen has discovered that a household of a staff member from a SummitMedia, LLC, radio station obtained and returned diaries for the December 2022 (October/November/December) Honolulu Radio Market Report. The diaries did not meet Nielsen’s quality standards, and they were removed from the diary sample prior to the release of this report."

This is a reminder that Nielsen can frequently discover media affiliated diaries by using an algorithm that causes a "double check" to make sure...

It used to be that subscribed stations would pound-into their employees heads the importance of alerting immediate family members that they can't participate as a Nielsen panelist. These days, I'm not so sure that's being emphasized. It likely never occurs to some of the younger employees that having 'Uncle Bob' agree to participate in a book to 'help out' their niece or nephew could potentially big time-backfire.
