Coverage of The March For Life

EWTN radio and television is providing continuous coverage of the annual "March For Life" in Washington, D.C. The audio coverage is being offered on WCCR-AM 1260, Cleveland. Former NFL Coach and current NFL Analyst Tony Dungy and his wife gave the best speech that I've heard so far.

Yeah, Tony Dungy is a sweet guy. The article in Sports Illustrated is from a just a few days ago. Another article from a major sports publication is asking how, after Dungy has repeatedly made statements and slurs aimed at minorities and more marginalizaed members of our society, he has not been terminated after so many others before him in various levels of broadcasting and sports, certainly have been:

Tony Dungy Deletes Tweet Promoting Anti-Transgender Rhetoric

Former Buccaneers and Colts coach Tony Dungy attracted a firestorm of criticism Wednesday for posting and later deleting a tweet that appeared to endorse a transphobic urban myth.
Dungy tweeted, “That’s nothing. Some school districts are putting litter boxes in the school bathrooms for the students who identify as cats. Very important to address every student’s needs.”
The tweet drew widespread condemnation and was deleted after about seven hours. The myth Dungy tweeted has been widely debunked, including by NBC News and PolitiFact.
Dungy, who coached Indianapolis to victory in Super Bowl XLI, has attracted criticism in the past for his statements on LGBTQ issues.

I would think that's a joke on Mr. Dungy's part in order to make a point.

Per the article above, this was not meant as a joke on Dungy's part. He Tweeted out a myth that had been circulated by the far right, and which had been debunked several times. Also, a quick internet search shows that Dungy has a history of making comments and slurs against minorities and those in marginalized sectors; also giving $$ to anti-LGBT+ causes. This Tweet should not be quickly dismissed as just a "joke" or an attempt at humor, because that's not at all what it was.

To his credit, Dungy took down the Tweet and apologized for it....After he was called out by lots of people and groups, including some who suggested he should lose his broadcasting gig over it.
