TV stations advertising streaming services

I don't like almost every tv show advertised they then say also see it on such and such service. It's confusing I wish they would stop doing that. I guess if they make money doing that.

Why? It's called "Advertising". It didn't always make me happy when Discovery+ was first launched and they would show commercials on HGTV, the Food Network and other channels, showing all the great pragrams and content they had, and at the end explained it was only available with a subscription to Discovery+. Many of the past episodes of shows that air on the various channels Discovery owns, were once available for free via their websites. As a Comcast customer I once had access to a lot of that content via Comcast On Demand as part of my subscription. No more..If I want it now, I need to pay for the streaming service. However, that's business and obviously their advertisement worked as it made me want to see the content they were offering. In my case, it didn't appeal quite enough to make me spring for a subscription to Discovery+, however.

It’s the job of content providers to tell people where to get the content. What’s to be confused? Not into streaming, ignore that part.

I never really liked any streaming services from music or TV. Guess I'm just old school watch OTA and direct TV Satellite.

It’s not any different from HBO, Showtime or other premium and pay for view channels advertising their content on network tv or basic cable. If you want it you have to pay extra for it…
