Julie Devereaux to WMEX

I fully support any local broadcaster who is programming live local content but I can not figure out how Larry Justice is making ends meet or plans to turn a profit. I have only heard two or three different advertisers and how much can MEX charge at this point.
Are there brokered shows on the weekends?

Exactly my thought.. thats been a question several have asked and no one has answered.. and ive been attacked for raising questions and making fun of a certain someone

I'm telling you a phone call to the 207 area code and it can all be magically fixed and profitable beyond Larry's wildest dreams.

LOL i get the joke

Hmmmm...cryptic. ;-)
I'd let you in on the joke, but the last time I did I got a message from the site overlords that someone from Maine was not happy I was making cryptic jokes about them and their departure from a certain station with call letters that are eerily similar to your board name....

And the last time i said something about it on facebook that they didnt like....the same person called up a station i worked and SCREAMED at my secretary for 5 minutes before she lied to get this person off the phone

If it's the guy I'm thinking of, his daughter posted her dad was "still in the hospital" on Feb 1 on the Remembering WMEX facebook group

Great question. I actually suspect this station purchase was a hobby more than an investment. My guess is Larry loves what he’s doing, is having a blast with his ultimate toy, and living the “retirement” of his dreams. If he was sinking his money into living on his own cruise ship—no one would question it. And he‘d bored to death by now. This is better.

Well..he’s having more fun every day than he would on a cruise ship and it’s probably “costing” him a little less. Sell a few spots to cut losses—fine. I think he went into this with his eyes wide open. And Ed Perry gets nice annuity checks each month (assuming it’s not paid up by now). It’s all good.

How many listeners does WMEX have in an average quarter hour? Maybe a few hundred?
at best and id wager some of them are the regular groupies

....as opposed to what?

We'd call them "P-1's"
the groupies in the FB group is what i meant... who think the wide as a coutnry barn door playlist and few commercials is so fun to listen to.

Yet, not commercially viable.
