I wonder if they can’t get a better station they could switch 101.7 to K-Love and put Air1 on an HD2. Or while they wait for a station put K-Love on the HD2. San Antonio has K-Love on an HD2 even though they have a class C2 signal there.

I just don’t see them doing that long term if they have to pay a lot for the naming rights. I would assume with that kind of money they would want a great signal

San Antonio actually has a K-Love affiliate, and 2 Air1 affiliates, HTX. KZLV, a C2 licensed to Lytle is K-Love, while Air1 is broadcast over KZAR, the C1 licensed to McQueeney, which started out in Cuero, and KZAI, the brand new Class A licensed to Balcones Heights, the former longtime Corpus Christi country powerhouse KOUL.

I’m aware of those stations that’s what I meant by a class C2. I should have mentioned those stations. K-Love is on KZAI HD2. I didn’t know about the history of KZAR though!
