Heidi Aiken returning to radio

I saw a post on Amy Wood’s Facebook page that Heidi Aiken will be joining Bill Love on Earth FM for the morning show as co-host. Salem must be spending $$$$ to get big names that have been let go from these other stations (mainly due to cost cuts - long tenure = higher pay).

Figured she would end up with Salem in some capacity after her non compete was up - I know she’s done sponsorships and endorsements as well, so this is a good pickup. Congrats to Heidi.

Do you really think they are paying that well? Doubtful. Remember, Heidi was out of work. And in this business, you're lucky to find any job. I'm happy for her and I think it's a good move for Earth. But she's not getting paid anything near whatever she was making at B.

This is true. I’m thinking too much in the outside world haha. They do seem to be the only station that’s hired people that were let go from competing clusters, and really more than they had to. A lot of talent has ended up changing careers. They could easily and cheaply just have a couple DJ’s. Don’t they have Stacie Bartro formerly of WSPA-FM and WROQ as well? Seems like I read an article that they hired her a while back but I haven’t heard her on air. Glad they’re giving all of these folks a chance but wish they’d cut back on the chatter and reverb.

Glad to see legacy talent return to the airwaves. Heidi Aiken is well established in the Upstate market from her years at WFBC. And Bill Love hosts a good program. Good move for Earth-FM.
