Did KFXR 1190 renew English FC Dallas radio broadcasts? I have seen a lot of the MLS teams have radio homes in English and Spanish. I know 1270 has the Spanish rights.
That links says 2022 on KFXR, this is 2023. What ownership change?Yes, iHeartMedia will broadcast the contests on 1190, while the Spanish language broadcast remains on 1270 at least for this season. Next year, with the ownership change, that will likely change. All matches are also available on the iHeart app.

Right. Forgot about that one.1270 was sold last year. TelevisionUnivision is still operating it in the interim until the new owners can secure the programming they want.
The new owners is that group that includes a celebrity. Right?1270 was sold last year. TelevisionUnivision is still operating it in the interim until the new owners can secure the programming they want.
If you call has-been Eva Longoria a celebrity, yes. She owns 0.5% of the shares. The new owners is that group that includes a celebrity. Right?
That's right! I don't know why I was thinking J-Lo...If you call has-been Eva Longoria a celebrity, yes. She owns 0.5% of the shares.
Leadership shows the "big names" but Valencia and Morales own about 78%, IIRC.
You are right, and I beg your pardon for the oversight when i posted the attached link. Apparently, the club has not updated the information reflected on its website. They have renewed with iHm for the 2023 season, as to why it isn't reflected on their site is a total mystery to me.That links says 2022 on KFXR, this is 2023. What ownership change?
I’m surprised iHeart didn’t put games on their brand new all sports sta - ah, never mindYes, iHeartMedia will broadcast the contests on 1190, while the Spanish language broadcast remains on 1270 at least for this season. Because the Mavericks have exclusively. So is Steve Davis doing the play by play?I’m surprised iHeart didn’t put games on their brand new all sports sta - ah, never mind
WFAN broadcasts 4-5 different teams.Because the Mavericks have exclusively. So is Steve Davis doing the play by play?
WFAN does that because the teams don't mind. When the Mavericks went looking for a new radio home they wanted to be on a full signal FM station with no other sports play by play. Thats why they are on KEGL. Mark Cuban has said as much. If they wanted to stay with Cumulus, they could have went back to WBAP or KLIF but they did not. Also iHeart offered up a buttload of cash as well. Common Sense 101!!!!WFAN broadcasts 4-5 different teams.
As someone who’s programmed sports radio, and had contracts with multiple teams, whoever gives me money will get air time. Yes teams can be exclusive, but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t carry other teams. If there’s a conflict move to another station. If Mark thinks he can dictate what I air on my station, and I’m paying you, i‘d tell him ”carry your …” real quickWFAN does that because the teams don't mind. I'd certainly be interested in your findings. 30 years or so ago, 1190 did okay in the outliers like Carrollton and Plano. Of course, that was then, when lightning storms were the biggest interference caused to an AM. In my recent experience heading east out I-30, where the directional null is quite severe at night, it is gone long before reaching Greenville. Same direction out I-20, and I have held on to a listenable signal until just past Canton. My QTH is Swan, roughly 75 nautical miles southeast of you. I have solid reception of 1190 during the day and early evening, but hardly a trace of it (or none at all) after dark.I pulled out a portable radio to see if 1190 could be picked up after they reduce power at night from my home in north Plano.
