I had to laugh at WAOW pre-emptying most of its daytime line-up for high school basketball…really? Was it that serious up there in the area at the time? Who was going to be watching at home lol?

Yeah, it's one thing on a Fox UHF affiliate (considering this was 1990), but it kind of jarred me to see it on a Big Three affiliate. Perhaps local teams were playing.
