They preempted that for this?

In LA KTLA moved Liv golf to Antenna tv subchannel 5.2 for an LA Clippers game.
That makes sense as the NBA is FAR more popular than even the PGA & gets more eyeballs. And with the other stations being owned by their respective networks (Except KCAL 9, which is a CBS owned Indie), they didn't have any other place TO put the Liv Golf Tournament (Unless they were to BURY it on some Spanish or shopping channel or Godcaster somewhere)

Once again, someone at Bell Fibre really screwed up. I tuned in to WSBK to watch Wheel since it has moved to there because of WBZ airing NCAA basketball like last week but instead, WSBK has switched to CTV 2 Atlantic to show TBBT. How can this affect the outcome? I think it has something to do with the Fiber Optic system itself but hey, it is relatively the same thing.

I think it would of bury it on KWHY-TV 22.1 that's a Spanish language channel in the Los Angeles Market they would of showed LIV Golf Tournament in English that might be an option

I've never thought about this but I think LIV Golf Tournament would of bury it to Spanish-language independent station KWHY-TV 22.1 in English since this channel keeps showing Infomercials all day until 4PM on Saturdays and Sundays that might be an option while KTLA-TV shows LA Clippers Basketball games I never thought about this channel before you agreed with my suggestions?

Due to bad weather and Tornadoes in Iowa today Des Moines stations WOI 5 (ABC) and sister station KCWI 23 (CW) that airs channel 5 News at 9, KCCI 8 (CBS), and WHO 13 (NBC) preempted all regular network and syndicated programing to air the weather.

Just now WHO 13 ran a scroll at the bottom of the screen saying today's episode of Jeopardy that airs at 3:30pm (the 3pm episode is always repeats) will be seen at 2am this morning.

Channel 11 (PBS) airs regular programming but runs a scroll about the weather. KDSM 17 runs regular programming as normal.

For some reason on April 1, 2023 after NBC Nightly News at 5:30pm they pre-empted the channel 13 News at 6pm for a rebroadcast of NBC Nightly News. This is on Channel WHO 13 Des Moines.

Update : they are having technical difficulties from the tornadoes from yesterday from Wapello County. As soon as they get the problem fixed they will have the Wearher and Sports reports.

This Wednesday WSOC is bumping a new Conners and Goldbergs to 1:06am and 1:36am in favor of a local special. Ironically The Conners will preempt Cox’s National News Tonight. 😆 They can’t airConners and Goldbergs on WAXN? Or air the special when the sitcoms were in reruns? At least they are airing them. But I had a feeling WSOC would do this because sister station WFTV in Orlando also preempted the Goldbergs to air a similar special last Wednesday. Cox needs to just sell out. They are not what they were.

Kcci 8 will air This is Iowa special on Thursday at 7pm bumping Young Sheldon to 2:06am.
At least they have sense enough to preempt a repeat.

WSOC is bad about that. When digital TV replaced analog, I just started watching WXLV with an antenna. Ironically, in the analog days WXLV was unwatchable but they moved it for digital.

Then one day I started having problems, but WXLV is still the most dependable station I pick up with an antenna. I was recording everything on WXLV "just in case" until my Bolt filled up. Now I have the Roamio.

Not having quite the good luck I expected but at least "The Goldbergs" recorded from cable. The end got cut off and I missed some words in the WXLV recording.

They could have done that the previous week when "The Conners" was.
Or when The Conners was in reruns at 8 and 8:30 on March 22 and 29 because The Goldbergs was new on April 12. Also, either Jimmy Kimmel or Nightline ran over 2 minutes so my DVR recording cut off the Goldbergs tag. I knew I should’ve added 2 minutes. I was able to catch it on Hulu but it was the principle. If ABC wanted to run it two minutes longer then they should’ve had the sitcoms starting at 1:08 and 1:38 on WSOC. EDIT: Just saw your other post about you having similar recording issues. It was because either Kimmel or Nightline ran over two minutes, or both ran over a minute.

We had a interesting situation where the Leafs-Lightning game had to start on TruTv because the Jets-Golden Knights game ran long, then they had to start the Avalanche-Kraken game on TruTv because the Leafs-Lightning game ran late. On top of that, local news started late due to Devils-Rangers going OT on ABC. While not technically preemptions, it should be mentioned.

I heard also that people got upset that impractical jokers got interrupted by hockey.

Now that is standard practice
