Dang. WINS has been on a roll since the simulcast, and 880 is holding its own.

Obviously, though, most of that gain appears to have been 55+.

When’s the last time WNEW was #1 in 18-34? Very impressive run for a very strong-sounding station.

Also, doesn’t look like CBS-FM has missed a beat with the morning show transition — good for the new team. I still wonder if the music is skewing a bit older than it needs to, but as long as they’re in the top 5 A25-54, they’re in good shape.

Seeing WCBS-FM rank #6 18-34 and #4 25-54 is definitely more normal than seeing them #1 18-34 and #4 25-54, but either way, still a very good performance for the Classic Hits format. It's been awhile since I checked their playlist, though, so I can't comment on whether or not I think their playlist is a bit too old.

Some of those older demo targeted stations doing so well in young demos is due to the absence of a lot of 18-34's and 25-44's to streaming. What is left is, shall we say, an eclectic group.

WXBK still being beaten by WOR, and ranks just ahead of the WFAN stream. Not great.

WXNY trending down with its lowest 6+ share in the past 6 PPMs. I'm curious why this station doesn't do better.

The survey period ended one day prior to MLB Opening Day. It will be interesting so see how WCBS 880 does next time with Mets PBP starting on Day 1 of the survey period.

Interesting that while WINS keeps growing after its move to FM, it doesn't seem to be at WCBS 880's expense. In fact, WCBS numbers are actually up, at least the 6+ numbers we can all see.

WLTW had a terrific 7.6 overall. I think Lite's consistent success is not mentioned very much on this board.

nice number... good "old" WINS . . .

As I said before - NYC's first RnR station, Sept, 1954 . . . NYC's first ALL-NEWS station . . . April, 1965 . . . now on FM too.!!!
Mentioned before, I visited their transmitter site often when in NYC area, always found an engineer out there and I'd get the famous tour . . . even saw the "dummy load" that has been there since the 50's.

When they put up a new DA going from 4 inline towers to 4 parallegram the signal improved much to the west, as a kid growing up in NJ in the 50's / early 60's as you drove around listening to 1010 WINS RnRolling their signal wasn't great in NJ west of The Meadowlands . . . but now it is much better with the new DA.
Add that to the FM WINS . . . GREAT for them !!!

I had mention once too that I even got a tour of the studios years ago from WINS news anchor Lee Harris.
Back in WINS RnR days everything was WINSLAND . . . WINSLAND weather, WINSLAND temp, WINSLAND traffic, visit your local Robert Hall Clothing store - there are 15 of them in WINSLAND !!!

how about them saying now, 1010 WINS can now be heard on 92.3 FM too - all over WINSLAND !!!

Al
