About the listing on Pittsburgh's Ch. 22 during that period in 2000 at 11:00pm was Bikini Beach was it some kind of infomercial or something like that and tell me what was it about? But however it's not related to the film which has the same name starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello that was released in 1964.

It was a reality show...a pinch of "The Real World", a dash of "Blind Date" and a smidge of "Girls Gone Wild"

The term wasn't around back then, but it was also a kind of "viral video" show.

The host would go around to various cities and film various beach parties or wet t-shirt contests or summer nights out on the town where some (PG-13) skin may be shown, and then he'd make comments about them ranging from snarky to "he needs a cold shower".

Something tells me a show like this wouldn't fly today
