Ignoring a forum?

I know you can ignore individual users but can you do it to entire forums? Theres one or two here that pop up when i click "New posts" that i dont have an interest in seeing.

Seconding this request, which I've made before. All the TV schedules and fictional cable lineup stuff probably brings you good traffic numbers, but I'd love to be able to put it on permanent ignore.
Buzz Stream will be first on my ignore list. I'm not allowed to reply, so it is of no use to me... other than Googling its topic and finding actual content that is available to the public.

What is up with Buzz Stream that at least some of us aren't allowed to reply to it (assuming it's not just me on double super secret probation). What's the point of having to post a second thread on the same subject to comment?

Isn't Buzz Stream there mainly to drum up business for Lance Venta's site? Maybe the inability to comment is intended to discourage the posting of the essence of the paywalled story, or worse, incorrect speculation. But people are always going to find the info somewhere -- often in a PR release -- and start conversations on it in the appropriate forums.

No. Incorrect. Wrong.

Buzz Stream is there as a heritage "feature" to promote the Radio Ink owned RBR (Radio Business Report) which came with the ceding of Radio Discussions to Frank Berry. It has no relation with Lance.

Note: Frank is away today, but we will discuss this in the next few days and look for solutions or alternatives. It all depends on the site software, which is not programmed "in house".

I just ignore the poster. If they participate in another thread and I'm interested in what they're adding to the discussion I click on "You are ignoring content by this member. Show ignored content." Works great.

I have explained this before but I'll do it again. Buzz Stream is an automated system which collects NEWS STORIES from a couple of sources. In most cases, replies are not allowed because it's automated. Some of the stories link to content which requires you to log into the originating source. We have no way of blocking the content which is not free.
