Connecticut Radio Veteran Floyd Wright Passes Away

I lived in Connecticut for 40 years and Floyd's voice on my radio was part of almost all of them, first at WDRC, then at WJMJ. RIP, "Friendly Floyd."

An obituary may be found at Floyd Wright Obituary, Legendary Hartford Radio Personality Floyd Wright Has Died
I remember him in the early to mid 1980s when he worked at WYNY in NYC
That obit appears to reside on a phishing site. When I click on your link, the story displays for a split second, but then a full screen asking me to allow notifications/confirm I'm not a robot pops up from the following, highly suspicious, URL: https://prizedidodeball.com. Please find a safe link and remove what appears to be a dangerous scammer site. Thanks.

I used to listen to Friendly Floyd when he was on mornings on WHEB 100.3 in Portsmouth N.H. in the mid 1970's.

Friendly Floyd worked at WHEB in Portsmouth, NH during the early 70s..
Some of his schticks had me in stitches for hours!!!
A truly funny guy, who could keep up the banter for an entire show......THAT'S hard to do!
To honor Mr. Wright.....let's all read our school lunch menus....
"YOURS.....not MINE!!!";)
RIP........

Floyd arrived at WHEB shortly after I left in the early 70s....IIRC, he stayed for ~ 2 years there......and moved on to WDRC
and (for a short time) WCCC-FM.
His rapid-fire delivery of dry humor was a rare talent --- and he kept me laughing (and LISTENING!!) for his entire show!!
RIP, "Friendly Floyd"....
