WTOP Tops Revenue List for 2022

BIA Advisory Services released its Top 10 billing radio stations for the year 2022. WTOP leads with $69M.
WCBS New York drops to #11 while WSB Atlanta re-enters at #10.
Overall industry revenue (over-the-air plus digital) increased to $13.6B from $12.6B in 2021.
Over-the-air: $10.7B to $11B and digital: $1.9B to $2.6B.

The list is very similar to last year. As said above, the only differences are WSB (now #10) displaces WCBS (now #11). And WBBM moves down a few notches from #4 to #8. With WCBS's slip to #11, there is no AM-only station in the BIA top 10. Every station is either FM or an AM-FM simulcast. More proof of AM's slide.

I assume KFI, KOST and KNX in Los Angeles would all be just under WCBS. KFI made the list a couple of years ago. KOST is sometimes the top rated station in LA. And we know KNX-AM-FM is Audacy's top billing station in Los Angeles.
