Well, it was March, and there's a certain madness that time of year that attracts those who like to make a wager or 2.
WKSU appears to be doing better than WTAM
When you extract the sports play-by-play broadcasts, WTAM has pretty mediocre ratings. Especially for a 50KW blow torch with an FM repeater.
I think that FM repeater is just there for people like the old "News For The Hard Of Hearing" bit on SNL.
WKSU has a news department unencumbered by having to provide content for other stations and actually has local management (WTAM’s news department is overseen by WLW personnel).
