The Weather Channel now airing game shows

Just ask Alexa what the weather forecast is, or search the current conditions on your smartphone, and it’ll be rather obvious why The Weather Channel has been rendered obsolete.

A "cesspool of garbage" seems like strong language for Heavy Rescue 401 and The Earth Unlocked.
Is there something else about the programming that you find trashy?

The answer is: they don't. That's why TWC gave up on 24/7 weather nearly two decades ago.
Yes, that's possible. I actually enjoyed when they had live hosts 24/7. Most of them were very knowledgeable. It was good for people sitting in airports and other Weather aficionados. 20 years ago, smartphones were not an option. Eventually, they'll be able to embed a chip in your brain. Simply close your eyes and get a forecast or watch a movie...😑

I feel ACCUWeather is more tape than live they seem to rehash the same reports every 15 minutes or when they have a OCM at a different time every few hours, I do like the local forecast seeing radar going about 36 hours out. If you want what The Weather Channel was Fox Weather is what TWC was they do a good job when nasty storms do come in there live 6AM to 10PM M-F and 6AM to 2PM on the weekends then long-form programs from 2PM to 1AM then Night Light every night 1AM to 6AM, Spectrum added Fox Weather first of year.

For just the temperature, sure. But what I want to see is Jim Cantore get blown off the pier into the ocean or some similar dramatic video. That's why I watch. Jim always finds the right place to stand to get slammed by something. It's more entertaining than WWE.

There was a huge blizzard in Buffalo a few months ago, and I tuned in just to watch all the amazing video.

...Or there was the time when a college student ran toward Cantore while he was live on the air. Cantore kneed the guy in the nuts, then kept on with the broadcast without skipping a beat.

Is there a video of that anywhere on the Web? I never heard about that story...

The Weather Channel is owned by one-time comedian turned media business owner Byron Allen and his Allen Media Group.
The weather channel is owned by IBM. Bryon Allen owns the TV network and licenses the name. He doesn’t own the website or any of the technology in the back end.
