KRSR The Krusher

Curious about it as well. Most of the hard rock/heavy metal stations tended to go with Z-Rock at the time, but the Krusher was programmed on its own.

In addition, it seems like most the folks who remember it fondly tend to be from SoCal where they listened to it at night…before KNAC started a similar format locally.

I'm curious about how that happened. There's another 1140 in Palm Springs. Seems like reception of an 1140 from North Las Vegas would have been tricky at best.

KNWQ is highly directional and lowers power at night, as does wqhat is now KXST and while both headed in the same general direction, i can see people closer to SD hearing 1140.

Plus, KNWQ didnt mvoe to 1140 unti l1985
