FM Frequency of the Week: 95.9

Tyler, TX:

A weak signal from KCKL Malakoff, as it is sandwiched between the K-DOK translator one channel down, and KKTX one channel up.

Wilmington Delaware

Normally an open frequency but WKZP in West Ocean City MD makes an appearance when weather conditions are favorable.

Mankato, MN
KQCL Faribault Power 96 (comes and goes)

Lake House (14 miles south of Aitkin, MN)
WWWI Pillager (Brainerd) Classic Country "Cash 95"

Around Columbus, Ohio, it's 99-watt W240CX "95.9 The Fish" with Christian music and Cleveland Guardians baseball.
It gets out decently well, 25-30 miles or so in each direction, from just south of downtown Columbus.
Even so, I rarely if ever have a problem hearing WHIO on 95.7 in the western and northern parts of the area.

South San Jose,

250 Watt Translator K240EV (Re-broadcast of KMBY 1240 AM) serving the central coast. The signal is very weak, but I can pick it up "only" with my best selective and most sensitive radios.

It is for sure ... and we have it twice in this market, because the local gospel station also is our Cleveland Cavaliers affiliate.
It's the result of our local iHeart cluster pretty much eliminating sports play-by-play or at least relegating it to second-tier signals because they don't want to run any on our big news-talker WTVN, known and loved in these parts as "Radio Free Canada."
Our local Reds affiliate, which carries hip hop and R&B, only carries night and weekend games. The same station does carry every Bengals game. Fortunately for us, WLW's strong signal and a few nearby affiliates of decent strength take care of Cincinnati sports fans in central Ohio.
A few years ago, Columbus' Indians affiliate was an HD2 signal of one of iHeart's two strongest FM signals. It was a straight simulcast of WTAM with zero local additions or IDs. The Browns are on our heritage all-sports station.

South Mississippi:

usually nothing due to HD sideband of WKBU New Orleans
sometimes WBBN Taylorsville, MS - B95 Pine Belt Country
