So, This noise/interference has been present for awhile and is very annoying. Causing unneeded noise on empty and licensed stations.
This is using a FM yagi pointed in the direction of 92.7 KTOM. When I rotate the yagi the noise begins to drop off. If i rotate it completely in the opposite direction it almost disappears. If I switch a indoor dipole the noise is drastically reduced.
Previously, I was under the impression 92.7 KTOM here has noisy HD radio transmitter but I figured I'd again ask for opinions. I did happen to catch the 92.7 KTOM transmitter off briefly and the noise was gone for that period of time but could be nothing.
If I tune around the noise with AM I do hear HD hiss sound. Probably means nothing but would mention it anyways.
Yes, There is local noise and spurs present but not this very wideband noise.
Any ideas?
