Sinclair Sells Stadium Network to Bulls and White Sox Owner

Sinclair Broadcast Group said it sold its controlling interest in sports network Stadium to Jerry Reinsdorf’s Silver Chalice.
Reinsdorf is the owner of the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball and the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association.
A Sinclair spokesperson said the decision to sell Stadium was not related to the RSN situation. Instead, they said Stadium did not generate enough audience interest to continue funding.

That's a real head scratcher. Stadium's value is pretty much only in the carriage it enjoys as a diginet on Sinclair's broadcast stations. If Sinclair ever withdrew that, the value of the network would seem to go to near zero?

What network is owned by the Cubs?
Marquee.

So what happens to NBC Sports Chicago? Last I heard, it was still owned by Reinsdorf (50%), Rocky Wirtz, Blackhawks owner (25%), and Comcast/NBC (25%). Is that no longer the case?

Stadium's value is pretty much only in the carriage it enjoys as a diginet on Sinclair's broadcast stations.
Stadium is also included in Roku’s free linear channel offerings which is the only way I can see it here in Houston, where its only OTA carriage is on a really dinky LPTV on the other side of the market.
