Posted On The Corner

Radio One has replaced two local night shows in Dallas and Houston with their syndicated night show, "Posted On The Corner". Although I'm a big fan of local radio, this is one syndicated show that I've heard before and I actually like it.

Gotta cut some costs to afford the Cox acquisition in Houston. What is the show about?

Do y’all even know for a fact cost cutting measures were done because of Houston’s merger? It sound ridiculous that only in the Dallas market cuts are being made because the company bought stations in another city? I’ve actually been in media long enough to see mergers between companies not affecting jobs somewhere else. Yes, reading is fundamental but actually knowing about how media works is too 🤷🏽

What cuts were made here? If you're talking about the night show, Hollywood Zay is still there. He actually was promoted to APD.

I've been working in this market since 1992. But speculation is what happens here.
