Wasn't 'BUR up that high in the pandemic spring of 2020 as well? Or maybe during the December 2020-January 2021 election aftermath? Both were periods when more people than usual were looking for information than music.

Oh, and what's the story behind WMJX's continuing inability to get back to anywhere close to pre-Christmas numbers? Have 2022's AC listeners become 2023's CHR and country listeners?
 
It is encouraging to see WBZ-AM improving but there is clearly some work to do. I am wondering what is driving WBUR’s ratings. Congratulations to them, it is not often you see public radio doing so well.

It is also encouraging to see WRKO surge in the 6 and up rating to its highest level in a long time. The station is only 0.1 behind WBZ. Again, live and local talk radio with Jeff in the morning and Howie in the afternoon is a winning combination for an AM Talk Station.

Yes, I'm aware they won a prestigious award recently for "Excellence in Sound", BUT....

I can't, uh, see it because the morning news is so overrun with blaring music to "punch up" a story, but ends up drowning out the speech part. And those recording made of people interviewed over a cheap AoIP link, complete with "rain barrel effect", are an assault on my ears. Oh, and there's nothing worse than a sports report of someone scoring a winning point: crowd blaring, sports announcer barely audible. Yup. Excellence.

Full disclosure: 'BZ is about the only Boston station, AM or FM, to which I listen.

That's All Access's style, as incorrect as it may be. No stations in the article linked have "-AM" or "-FM" attached to them in that article, or the technically accurate "(AM)" either, for that matter. They know the difference, as do their readers. It's the internet, not print. That sort of extreme accuracy is not valued anymore. Indeed, those who bring up stuff like this are often ridiculed by millennials as "spelling cops" or "grammar cops."

Exactly. I can name all 50. But Kuhner's days are numbered. according to him the FBI has targeted him and are trying to have him silenced. He says he doesn't go out in public very often because he is afraid of being assaulted meanwhile he will provide great detail on his trips to the supermarket and McDonalds . About two or three years ago he made a major announcement that he would be running for the US Senate in 2024 against Warren. At times I think most of what he says is just part of performance and other times I think he believes the insanity that comes out of his mouth.
 
What's sadder? That he believes it, or the people listening to him believe it?

If "they" do "get him" he can always go back to running the Edmund Burke Institute with Graziella from the gulag...

I haven't listened to that fool for years, so, my questions are as follows:
1) are the phone lines still "blazing"
2) is he still going national baaaaybeeee
3) does he still mock his callers (go back on your meds etc)
4) does he still blame his kids for his lack of show prep
5) does he still do rallies or is he terrified of being arrested (FBI) or assaulted (as mentioned in a post above)
6) does he use the phrase "am I wrong", the reason I ask that is because with Rush no longer with us, I'm guessing he's stealing what little show prep he does do from Hannity ,the ego maniac and one of Hannity's constant lines is "am I wrong"

Now that Graziella is working part-time as a realtor and the kids are more or less self-sufficient in age (I think he said Ashton is 12? now) they're less to blame for lack of show prep. Besides, what more do you need for show prep than going to drudge?

So, him and Graziella are mirroring Howie and his wife? Howie's wife was in real estate before she took over being president of the Howie Carr Radio Network. She's a "zilla". There was audio many years ago where she called into Howie's show and just berated him, my God, it was embarrassing. The audio has been removed.

I knew it! I knew it! He used to steal from Rush all the time and claim the predictions that Rush gave as his own and with Rush gone I figured he was now stealing from Hannity.
