Just noticed that Jack FM’s Legal ID is just dry, not voiced by the normal voiceover talent and doesn’t make any reference to Jack FM. I’ve never heard this before and it just sounds out of place to me. Could this be in preparation of a flip?

Well, I'm listening to the station. Yes, just now a female voice gave the legal I.D. "KJKK Dallas-Fort Worth. On 100.3 FM and on the Audacy app." Then after a few commercials, the Jack voice said "This is 100.3 Jack-FM. Playing what we want!" Maybe the station wants to stress the Audacy app and couldn't get the Jack voice guy to do it quickly?

Later, Jack made a quip about having to remember your kid's activity schedule. Then, before a Michael Jackson song, the Jack voice made a remark about getting off the couch to go to the pantry for snacks.

Again this year, Jack-FM Dallas is celebrating its birthday by going back to the playlist from its first weekend on the air, 19 years ago. It did it last year and what was ironic was that the 2004 playlist isn't that much different than Jack today! I listened for 90 minutes and the only song I didn't think Jack would play today was American Pie by Don McLean. Everything else sounded like Jack-FM usually does.
