Skyview, ABC Audio To End Business Relationship In 2024

A statement issued by SKYVIEW said that the company is "proud to have supported ABC AUDIO’s 2014 re-launch in network radio" but "As we look to the future, SKYVIEW and ABC have decided to conclude their business relationship beginning in 2024. ABC AUDIO and SKYVIEW NETWORKS are committed to working together to ensure a smooth transition, and SKYVIEW will continue meeting the needs of the industry and its full-scale multi-partner relationships. SKYVIEW NETWORKS will continue representing ABC AUDIO network sales while also providing distribution service through 2023. We wish ABC AUDIO continued success in the years ahead."

ABC Audio teaming up with someone else after Skyview got hacked? Is the radio service a victim of budget cuts? Any scuttlebutt out there?

To me, what's odd is to make this announcement 6 months in advance. So it could be SkyView giving ABC notice to seek a new syndicator. SkyView also represents CBS News Radio. Ad revenues have been lower across the board for all media, but especially news/talk. CBS News Radio has been making staff cuts. Is the type of service ABC News offers too expensive given the current environment? Both sides have possible reasons to end the relationship.

Wonder why they would want separate Ad Sales/Distribution deals since Compass could do technically do both but nice get for LinkUp.
