WPST 94.5 adds HD signal

Just noticed this today as 94.7 WDSD's signal is now wiped out in southern Camden Co. Just 94.5 in HD, no HD2 or 3.

Well now as of this morning it seems they turned off their HD. Maybe they were running on a backup transmitter that has HD? Not sure.

I personally tried a couple times last night and today and not a trace of HD nor an attempt to lock onto one. I cannot imagine what would be the impetus for that here in 2023 short of to lease the sub-channels when they could just as easily lease from sister-station 101-5.

Yup it was short lived, but as you can see from the SDR, they were in HD. But it seems it was only on Friday, again which leads me to think either they bought an HD exciter and were tinkering with it, or they were on a backup transmitter which had HD in the transmitting chain.

They could have been testing the HD to potentially offer it as a lease. Can’t think of any translators it could feed that WKXW couldn’t feed.
