The CW To Broadcast Raycom ACC College Football and Basketball Games

The CW will be taking over broadcast the Raycom ACC College Football and Basketball Games starting in the Fall. These games were previously broadcast on Bally Sports. Diamond Sports, owner of Bally Sports, rejection of the Raycom contract was approved by the bankruptcy judge last week.

this deal is literally covering games passed over by all of the ACC's primary TV partners (ESPN/ABC and ACC Network)

The conference is hoping getting these games back on a nationally distributed over the air outlet will be an attractive enough carrot to dissuade schools from leaving. (One of the biggest complaints from the schools that weren't Clemson when the games first went to The ACC Network and RSN's is that many of their fans couldn't see the games)

Raycom Sports is a Gray subsidiary so this suggests possible future partnerships between Nexstar and Gray, both with and beyond the CW.

More likely than not, I think Gray will likeky buy the network infrastructure of MyNetwork TV from Fox but thatr will come with a caveat that it gets rights to the 20th Century Fox / Fox Network library (IE shows like Married With Children, 24, The X Files, Bones etc.) & use that

Thoughts??

The 20th Century Fox library belongs to Disney now not Fox Corp. MyNetworkTV is owned by Fox Corp.

That doesn't mean Fox wouldn't want to sell MyNetwork TV if they got a good enough offer from soneone like Gray nor does it mean they couldn't use the 20th Century Fox library for programming like The CW does (Albeit to a lesser extent when original programming isn't on in primetime) does with the CBS/Paramount library though

Nascar Xfinity Series next year
not next year, it's 2025 when NASCAR Xfinity Series moves to the CW, next season is the last of the 2015-2024 TV deal signed in 2013. it's most likely the CW may get either the NBC half or the Fox half of the Cup Series season or all of it in the new 2025-???? TV deal.
