WKBX - Kingsland GA K-Bay 106 AOR, oldies - late 1980s

Hartland, VT:
Splatter from classic rock WHDQ Claremont, NH on 106.1.

Meriden, CT:
W292FI Waterbury, translator for "tropical" WWCO(AM) Waterbury, "tropical" being the tag that Radio-Locator slaps on every Spanish-language music station in Connecticut. I know that's inaccurate, but I'm not familiar enough with the many styles of Caribbean-influenced music to say what this station is. It's not reggaeton, as far as I can tell.

Wilmington Delaware

No local stations but 2 stations can be heard depending on weather conditions -

WJSE - North Cape May NJ with Alternative Music

WCEM - Cambridge MD with Country Music

WJSE is the most likely station to be heard here. Both stations can be heard regularly in Southern Delaware.

East Tennessee: WPFT, Pigeon Forge, TN, which has been in the format-of-the-month club for years, the latest being regional Mexican.

From Pickerington, Ohio, it's WHTD from London (about 35 miles west) and its simulcast of the "Power 107.5 & 106.3" format. With only 6,000 watts, it's never been a great signal on this side of town, but that also means that it fills in holes to the west 107.5 does not reach well or at all. That frequency has been aimed to the African-American community ever since it signed on in 1993, mostly as urban but also several years with gospel. I was a sophomore in high school then, and "Power 106.3" essentially owned the hip hop and R&B market here then.

Oakland ... nothing, caught between KMEL (106.1) and KEZR (106.5) from San Jose. The latter isn't that strong a signal here but it's enough to suppress anything that would be on 106.3. Looks like the nearest possibility would be KMJV from Soledad. ("It's happening in Soledad!" Too bad that sign on US 101 is gone now.) As a class A about 350 feet above average terrain, there's no chance it's going to make its way past Loma Prieta to get up toward this direction.

Tyler, TX:

Classic rock "The Eagle" from Texarkana. Pretty tough reception with powerhouse KOOI next door.

Unless some kind of incredible E skip phenomena occurs, or dumb luck.

I speak from some limited experience: as I recently reported over in this thread, I received a 4 watt translator on 90.7 for KCSM in Sonoma in the hills behind Briones reservoir. This shouldn't be possible, yet there it was (I actually heard it again at about the same time (7:30 PM Pacific) the following evening, so whatever that phenomena is, it seems to happen somewhat regularly).

No DX about 106.3 here., although every now and then I haul out this ancient Commoadore multi-band portable enough to craft new dials for it. One is for FM.

Just wanted to mention that an improbable 106.3 station once made the publicly available ratings in the Holy Grail of the Number One New York (city) book.
If I remember the calls right, it was WSLT Ocean City NJ. Somehow this triumph not not only made the NYC ratings but finished ahead of three closer 106.3's to the Big Apple.
None of which showed in the book.
