I noticed that KFNC 97.5 was off the air tonight. However, it’s translator K223CW 92.5 was still on the air blasting away Cool 92.5 as far as Baytown. I guess the magical HD radio atop Wells Fargo can still receive KFNC’s HD2 even when nobody else can hear KFNC at all. And that amazing 28 watt signal could be heard 30 miles east in a null.

Not sure when the KFNC transmitter failed, but I found them off the air around 3pm today (7/19) and still missing at several checks later in the afternoon.

Ironically on one break they were running a promo explaining they can be heard on two frequencies.😖

Wonder if they are still on the original transmitter from the KAYD move-in/upgrade from 2001?

Had to have been around that time. I heard it a few hours before that

Also something interesting I found out today. 92.5 does actually have a null to the south! I couldn’t hear them 21 miles away in Iowa Colony. But quite a few more miles to the south and I was still getting 94.1, 104.5, 105.3, and 106.1 strong with RDS.

KFNC is still off as of now. In Winnie, I am hearing KWTX from Waco clearly 200 miles away.
KWTX was blasting in up here in ETX yesterday as well. Completely obliterated local KTBB-FM. WACO did the exact same to local KMOO.

Oh no. An anonymous person threatening another anonymous person for telling the truth that translators are originating programming in Houston.

Repeating the same false statements yourself doesn’t get you anywhere.
