Besides, Kilborn was more snarky than funny, and his version of TDS lacked most of the underlying news and issues content that Jon Stewart and Trevor Noah used as the foundation for their topical humor.

I agree with @DXing, in 2023 Kilborn would wear out his welcome after a week.

Is he doing anything in the entertainment realm these days? Seems like he's been mostly dabbling in the business since he left The Late Late Show around 2004, doing the occasional episode of something, but largely sitting on the sidelines.
