Well damn, Ben.

In context, last month BEN was 4, 3, and 2. Now it's 2, 1, and 1. Did they do anything different?

BTW This is likely the last time we'll see Research Director information on All Access.

My question is...How long will Rumba 106.1 last until the next format flip???
Will they go back to 106.1 The Breeze???
Please don't continue to repeat this.

Rumba has acceptable numbers. Hispanic targeted Spanish language media is not bought in competition with the rest of the market's stations. Spanish language buys are bought against the Spanish language media in the market.

In the Philly Hispanic market, Rumba is #1. Totally. It will be on every major market Spanish language media buy.

The move to Spanish was smart and allows an economical operation but with considerable potential revenue.

Not noticeably. It sounds the same without doing any deep dive to find some kind of in-the-weeds nuance.

It seems to be going somewhere.

"Welcome to our (apparently) penultimate ratings column in this here rag. The Ratings Experts from RESEARCH DIRECTOR, INC. – along with the numbers crunchers from XTRENDS – are hoping this here missive will continue in this same form but likely on a different platform. We are both in deliberations, negotiations and conversations on how this will work. In the meantime, we urge you to click on the links at the end of the column (the stuff you usually ignore) and sign up for our blog. That way we will be able to alert you of our next ratings adventure."

Ben FM is kicking ass, good for them. A legitimately well-ran station that I still enjoy when in Philly. In fact, they play better alternative tracks than the designated alternative station, Alt 104.5.

Pretty much every station saw a drop in cume from the previous book. People going on vacation?
I wouldn’t be surprised if terrestrial radio actually gains listeners over the next few years. I know a lot of people (myself included) who have dropped satellite radio in favor of streaming in the car but that’s not always convenient especially for short distances so I’m listening more to FM than I have in years. I actually dusted off my CD burner and have been making CD’s again for the car and enjoying some great stuff that isn’t played on satellite or terrestrial radio. I haven’t busted out my 8 track player yet but I guess it’s true that many things old become new again.

Q102 isn't looking good let's hope they fix that.
Maybe it's time for a peace on the streets reboot (joking)
It's strange how some CHRs like WKQI are on fire, while others struggle.
The heavy gold playlist seems to have varying results around the country, even if there's pop or hip hop throwback competition.
I thought that Q was going up, but now it's back down... that's why it takes several monthlies averaged together to get a true picture.
Them and DAS remain iheart's best billers in the market from what I understand, and a couple lower than usual books for Q won't have a major effect on that.
