The new KROI/KTHT changes thread

K-Love is 100% a national network.

Honestly, a lot of commercial companies wish they could replicate that model, as is the norm in networks across the Europe and Latin America.
K Love is 109 percent national network but they do live personalities over the air like skip Amy mornings.

Don’t bother holding your breath. Appears nothing will happen until the sales of 92.1 and 97.1 by the Sugarland Station Trust to the new owners are approved and closed. We could see two to three more months of the current formats.
The FCC already approved the sales... EMF will likely do an LMA to put programming on it early like they did with 105.3 KXXF..

The sales of KTHT and KROI from the Sugarland Station Trust to EMF/SBS are still pending approval by the FCC. The KXXF sale was approved about a week ago, though I have not seen a notification of consummation.

I wouldn’t completely rule out LMAs for both KTHT and KROI but that’s not indicated so far.

I could definitely see EMF getting an LMA for KTHT, but I'm pretty sure SBS usually waits for the sales to close so they can kick their formats off

Keep in mind that 97.1 has to be converted from commercial to non-commercial status, thereby making an LMA not practical for immediate implementation.

Will likely be a few weeks with a notice of about a week before the changeover.

Really? They can go ahead and do the LMA first and then file for the conversion.. I don't think they filed for KXXF to go non-commercial yet.. But EMF took over programming almost a month ago
