What stands out for me is Mega 101. A 2 share and a cume barely higher than rimshots Amor and El Norte. Has Mega run its course on KLOL? Is it time to explore a new direction?

Clearly, classic country is going to end up on 101. Or a speed metal/EDM/tejano hybrid. 🤣

Remember, that one started out as pure reggaetón and failed. It became more of an Adult Top 40 or Hot AC and that has worked better for years. Now, the music seems to be splintering into the hard core (Bad Bunny) trap and the more melodic Enrique Iglesias and Carlos Vives stuff, and we may have fragmentation.

But the big issue is the internal structure and staff at Audacy. It is as if, in many formats, many stations and many markets from the top down they have changed staff and attitude. I used to think that they would get over the errors of the CBS merger and the changes in the industry, but now I believe that the whole corporate mentality there is in need of a "makeover" from the hairdo to the toenails.

I assume the icon means this is very tongue in cheek. But some will think you are serious.

Tejano EDM is the next thing... two accordions for the price of one.

My feeling is that a lot has to do with the ongoing, never ending Nielsen issues with the PPM sample in Houston. We are not seeing this in LA, for example, where the two reggaetón stations are now nearly tied and highly ranked.

Wonder if the fragmentation is something SBS could exploit with their new format on 92.1.

If the issue is sample, then even good research may not guide them to high ratings.

SBS has never stunted. They just launch. Today, nobody "scans" the dial and stunting is just not applicable in the Internet and streaming era.

To be fair, they did stunt on their Florida acquisitions last year prior to launching their current formats.

Actually running a loop of what the station will be doing is not stunting. Stunting is pretending to be launching one format when you actually are not (ie: you might run country to throw off competitors before switching to alternative as your new format).
