Spanish language stations Amor 93,1 and X96.3 have been trending down considerably, in the overall ratings.
In fact the ratings for La Mega 97.9 are somewhat higher than those of Amor and X96.3 combined.
X96.3 has a very similar format to that of La Mega. Couldn’t they try a different approach to Hispanic radio?

Not until Nielsen stops having half the Hispanic sample in Dominican households.
 
As I recall, X96.3’s ratings have always been well below those of La Mega, even though their programming is very similar.
Amor’s ratings have been sharply up and down over the past few years.
 
Lite FM is #1 like usual though it seems to play random songs from certain genres from the 80s to now. It is especially random on the weekends during the “Best of The 80s Weekend” segments. The music is much slower during the Delilah show compared to the rest of the day though.
 
Not only is Lite #1 in the overall ratings, but they managed to get a 8.1, outside of the Xmas season. They are often considered an office station, but fewer people are working in offices than a few years ago.
I don’t understand what the previous poster means, that Lite plays “random” songs.
Meanwhile, sister IHeart station WKTU had its highest ratings in about 11 years, according to RadioInsight.

I like WCBS FM but 106.7 LITE FM without question has a much better variety of Music
 
It’s Christmas music isn’t random at all just cause it’s one format. They play many of the same Christmas songs most Christmas stations play though IHeartMedia stations that do it usually offer a bit more of a contemporary approach compared to WLTW.

It's the most significant youth format all across Latin America.

To me, all alternative rock songs sound the same (well, maybe a few are really astounding) so it is mostly about the perception of the intended listener.
 
Lots of Motown songs in the '60s used the same beat. It was "the Motown Sound". Then again with Disco in the '70s, and the PWL "Sound of a Bright Young Britain" in the '80s, and the Max Martin boy-band / girl group / teen pop sound of the late '90s.

In the '80s there was even a cookie-cutter copy of Wham! called Bang. I wonder if there was another group called Boom.

Yep they do thats why i like top40 best variety.
