Fantastic word game

"Anyway" vs. "any way" is a distinction on which I could expound at length.

And my tip to you is: "Pay attention when I expound in some future post." Here's another: That period at the end of your final sentence in the above post should be changed to a question mark.

I don't wanna be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately.

That's from your neck o' the woods, Stuart.

More Than a Feeling was the lead single from the debut album of Boston which was released 47 years ago this month.

"I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away
..."

This month is September, which is the ninth month on the calendar. It's also a song by Earth, Wind & Fire.

A crowded movie theater is where you go when you want to be overcharged for a bag of popcorn with industrial strength butter!

Butter on a hot piece of cornbread makes for an excellent snack.

A big ol' howdy, a tip o' the 10 gallon, and a warm welcome to our newest player Ed. I am the resident redneck from the land of roses and a Lone Star. Welcome aboard, kick up your feet and stay awhile.

The Buc-ees hopefully coming to Chapel Hill, North Carolina will arrive soon enough, but until it does, you are always welcome here at the Ranch for a visit so we can take a quick drive down I-20 for some tasty brisket sandwiches and a box of homemade fudge.

A box of homemade fudge will be sent to Ed to welcome him to our little game.

Ed, welcome to the game. I need to caution you on your contributions. We require ONE SENTENCE and one sentence only. Your contribution up above on Post #44,669 was very obviously 2 sentences and, for some reason, nobody called you on that. So, again, one sentence and one sentence only please. Please begin your sentence with the full bolded ending clue from the previous contribution. Please bold your beginning and ending clues.

Please meet our TFWG (as I prefer) Executive Board members:

WMC: Game Czar
dmargalotti: International Director of Band Camp; Director of Early Morning Contributions
Silkie (Miss Silkie): Head Librarian; Chief Mixologist; Director of Fun; Owner/Manager of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits
scanman: HOSS (Head Of Safety and Security)
CTListener: Director of Linguistics

CT, that comment of mine was more of a statement than a question so no question mark needed (as I prefer).

Finally, welcome to the weekend. Time to relax and unwind. And what better way to do that than a little music, dancing and dining pleasure at the new Illusions tomorrow night. If you can't make it, join us on the huge PowerWorld livestream. Kenny, Dave and I will have plenty of music for you with another great 80s Rockfest plus your requests. Then, in the early morning Sunday hours, kenny cooks up some slammin' good grub.

Our new friend Ed has started 2 new games on this board. Check them out.

Have a great weekend!!

Our little game is something I hope we all enjoy!

A box of homemade fudge will be sent to Ed to welcome him to our little game.
Quoting Elvis: Thank you, thank you very much!

I thought I did make the clues bold, but I will be more careful. One sentence only. Got it! :)

Enjoy a panoramic view of the PowerWorld campus from the newly constructed observation tower, made possible by a generous donation from Denny's.

A change from the previously announced deal to sponsor the mechanical bull, so WMC, you have once again been warned. Oh, and your "don't you think" was indeed a question, no matter what you "prefer." Remember, I am the Director of Linguistics. My rulings are official and final.

Denny's needs to focus on cleaning that nasty grease trap, as opposed to worrying about any sponsorships.

Ed, you're playing fabulously. You correctly put boldness where it belonged, that's just WMC being WMC. It's his standard welcome package. One thing, when your talking to the rest of us (instead of submitting to the game play) no need to quote the person to which you are responding, and please use italics.

Any sponsorships are greatly appreciated, as they are good for business.

Business sponsorships with Denny's will still include the mechanical bull so I will have scanman put several of his men there for 24/7 security.

Ed, you did the bolding part correctly. But since I was going over the one-sentence rule, I had to mention the other things too. I'm the Game Czar, it's what I do. And as rosecity mentioned, please italicize (or somehow differentiate) your non-game comments from your game contributions. And please do not make non-game comments without also making a game contribution. It affects our numbers and analysis.

And, now, it's time for CT to jump in and say that you should never start a sentence with "but". He's the linguistics guy, it's what he does.
