Cumulus KC shuffle coming

Well, it just happened. The end of 105.1 The X was sudden. It played "Touch, Peel, and Stand" by Days of the New and went straight to Power 105.1, no announcement or anything of the like.
So...how does KPRS do these days? Its hold on the Kansas City Black audience used to be unshakeable.

Doesn't seem like a move to get much of any 105.1 the x listeners to stay though. The past times, they moved from different blends of rock into each other
Doesn’t matter - KCJK is not targeting rock fans anymore. The station changed formats outright because its purpose as a flanker for Fox was no longer needed and deemed expendable. Anyone who wants rock in some form can go to Audacy’s combo, Fox or Bridge. Not hard to figure out.

All X did was sit in the 2 shares. It only served as a sales flanker for Fox and go after ‘QRC. In addition, Cumulus felt they could cut into ‘PRS’ long dominant hold on the urban audience by transforming a low-share adult-ish urban into a younger targeting outlet heavy on hip hop.

I wish Cumulus would launch a station in my area that’s actually staffed with air personalities and shows like this one. Kudos to being in a market with ad dollars guaranteed.
