Notre Dame football on WCBS

I don’t know whether its odd or impressive that Notre Dame is still able to convince radio affiliates to run their games, throughout the country.

Notre Dame football has a rather impressive list of affiliates around the country. The other sports only have affiliates in northern Indiana, other than a station in Albuquerque that airs men's basketball as well as football.

It's funny, though, that they list WBBM for Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay. The first two, no problem, Green Bay's a bit of a stretch. It's only 28 stations, a far cry from the days on coast-to-coast carriage on Mutual and before that, ABC.

By contrast, Ohio State's radio network has over 60 affiliates in-state. And this was the case even before IMG-Learfield took over the radio network's operations a few years ago.

WCBS is airing the Compass Media NFL game now.
Why? Isn’t there enough news on Sundays in New York to not air compass media of all networks? I can’t see how Audacy is making money off that. Audacy is showing by their actions, they they favor wins over wcbs

The difference between Audacy and you is they know the audience figures for weekend afternoons. If they could make more money with news on WCBS, that's what you'd hear. My guess is that audience for both WCBS and WINS is lower on the weekends than on weekdays. I think it's a great decision for a company that makes tons of money with sports. They definitely don't want to allow WEPN to get those afternoon games.
