I don't know all the details, just that plans call for 105.3 Winnie to apply for a move to Devers. It will require cooperation from another broadcaster. That's what I know.

105.3 as a C2 in Devers would be short-spaced to first adjacent KYKS in Lufkin by almost 20 miles.
I don’t see the point of such a move given current ownership of KLTW and the K-Love/Air1 coverage areas.

Forget Kicks. Having to meet Roy Henderson's likely financial requirement to move KTWL out of the way would make the costs of moving the Winnie signal off of the sand dunes quickly exceed any sort of return they could ever hope for. Let's also not forget 105.7, which would require a documented miracle from God himself to ever persuade HCB in giving a blessing to anything that would require them to relocate or lower power on the flagship.
I really don’t know much about the spacing rules but why would KHCB have to relocate or lower power? 100.7 KKHT is there and 101.1 KLOL isn’t lower powered.
Like @Mediafrog+ said, I don’t see the point in them moving. Doesn’t seem like much would be gained that wouldn’t be covered by 97.1.
Last full day for Country Legends today 10/30? Still nothing on-air indicating their impending demise on 97.1, though they are frequently promoting the streaming app, plus 92.9 HD-2.
Still suspect the actual flip will occur at midnight or in the early hours of 11/1.

Not sure I agree with that. EMF and RO/SST might not want to deal with the blowback that would result if the flip was announced in advance. KTHT’s numbers have usually hovered around the low twos, so a respectable audience. I think it will essentially be a soft launch for K-Love here (making it a fait accompli) with publicity to follow later on.
Like Mediafrog, I disagree. To me, the most poorly handled flips are the ones that just happen, and the staff finds out when being walked out of the building while the audience is left completely bamboozled. Don't get me wrong. I understand why companies do that, but I don't like it.
At least the Country Legends format is getting the chance to promote its new location and, within contractual limitations, to get the word out somewhat. I'll grant you that the average listener to the station probably isn't going to follow it to 92.9 HD2 or to the app, but how many stations have you heard get moved to a digital subchannel and/or streaming without getting the chance to promote it?
Completely opposite situation with Praise 92.1, which has been branding as 102.1 HD-2 for five months now, along with “We’re moving!” promotional announcements. Occasionally a 92.1 reference gets through, but no doubt about where to find them…eventually. If the KROI SBS deal implodes there will be a lengthy further delay for that move, which might confuse the audience even more.
Of course Praise survived as HD-only from 2011-21 following its original 2006-11 run on 92.1, so there is precedent.

However Country Legends hasn’t said anything about the format leaving 97.1. The audience is about to experience major surprise and disappointment. The typical listener knows nothing about the sale and impending flip.
I don’t think they should. Format changes are negative and mean the death of a brand people like, especially when the format is moved to HD-2/online only. Why give the illusion the Country Legends brand is dying? Just tell listeners where to find it, and then flip the switch and be done with it. No sad, “oh we’re going away, thank for the memories” stuff. Radio needs to get away from doing that
And the stations that move their old formats to HD or online have no reason to give them much in the way of publicity, as advertisers aren't interested in either.

EMF's K-Love just jumped today to tie #4 with (CHR) KIIS in the 18-34 for Los Angeles. I think this might be significant for Houston. For Dallas, it may give them more motivation to try to compete with KLTY.

Tomorrow is The Day of the Dead.
TOHID at 8am still KTHT. Call change to KLVH had been authorized for 10/31, presumably will happen with the actual flip.
Edit to add: Appears CL has thrown the playlist wide open, spinning the entire music library. Also not hearing any host talent or voice tracking so far this morning. Traffic reports still running.

It has changed. Maybe not on air, but the facility is now officially KLVH Cleveland, Texas. Given tomorrow is All Saints Day, instead of Halloween, I would bet you'll want to set the recorders for around midnight tonight. That would seem the most logical.

I have stated this multiple times in this thread, but here goes again...
When associated with a license transfer, the call letter change DOES NOT take effect until the sale closes. At this moment it is still KTHT. If EMF takes over at 5pm it becomes KLVH then. If EMF takes over next week, the call change becomes official then. If it happens a year from now, the call change becomes official then...
